Hey I'm looking for some help on getting the basics of LS down. I played for a little bit some time over a year ago, but a lot has changed and I don't really even remember that much.

I remember that you pretty much had to have some FG to buy items or else you weren't gonna get far, is it still that way? Or can I make a character and play through and still have fun?
I ran through the catacombs for a while killing stuff, but I would love to know a good class that is sustainable as single player, as well as how I can learn more about items and what to look for / keep.
How does "magic finding" work in this game, too?
Do I have to play with groups to do well in this game?
