I couldn't tell you that reason for sure, but look at the updates that have been made. Starting with the introduction of catacombs then moving onto improvements in catacombs with the mana usage in the acc slot and the megacrit update not to mention some items you can't get in the arena, while the arena was left virtually alone.
Common sense would tell you that LS is geared toward more of a multiplayer game, but then again some people don't have common sense

Paul has done incredible things for LS and everyone reading this can attest to it (this is obvious to the fact that nearly everyone reading this thread plays the game). These are exciting times for this game when news comes out that he's ignoring baby steps and about to take a huge leap into the direction he envisions this game going. I for one, as everyone else should, trust in the direction he's taking this game and realize that an update of this magnitude could bring quite a large influx of new players!

Anyways, all I can say is that I hope it is like a total mind blower. Like I want to see it and just lose my mind! Not even play the game, just sit there and be like "whoa bro".
