Just wanted to give a small update.. Yes, still working away on the new LS update.
Would like to share one of the new features of the next version with you guys, called persistent groups.
What this basically means is that when you create a group, it stays with you until you leave it or logout (or choose another character). It also means that not everyone has to be in the same location at once, and that other sections of the game become a bit more persistent as well (such as being able to head back to town, and return where you left off.. or just one person in your group doing so, etc)
It'll make more sense once you see it, and in line with the other updates and add-ons in this next update.
Still no actual ETA on a release yet.. Lots to do.
Though, I do have some slightly good news (depends who you ask), I found ways to reduce some of these updates into smaller chunks, which will do two things: 1) Earlier release date, and 2) Less shell shock for you players in terms of game play changes. It will still be a big update, but I've broken some of the things into more bite-sized chunks for later versions. Persistent groups is a requirement for other later changes planned to LS, so it's a good chance to take that step now, rather than thrust you into everything at once.
Back to coding and testing.
