I create Group (Guild Only) games to restrict other group runs POP up... I hate it when a group in your level range pops up, so no, this is something I do NOT want to see happen.

The extra window (Group) popping up while I am slashing distracting.

Just learn to NOT create a group and look for the group as you stated. I like the fact I use the "Find Players" in my group range when I want to search for them, so that I can offer them a Well and Edit my group from Guild only to public.

I don’t even think about it when I refresh online 1-99 and see nobody for hours..

Hardcore merge with softcore

As soon as I’m donated sc gear as good as my hc gear or the cores are merged giving me no other option

There used to be only 1 core... Soft.

Now from the 12+ years, Paul has never gone backwards... thus, there will only be two(2) cores, deal with it.

Except for the time he went backward and restricted Chars to 8 & 8 for either core instead of 16, 9 & 7, or 15 & 1

I was introduced to LS when it was in its early stages, I thought it wasn't for me, I then came back in V1.15 (around your time), and Hardcore was introduced and Prof + Life steal was nerfed, but, at that time, you could create 16 characters either SC or HC ... oh, HC was introduced prior to 1.15 I believe.

EDIT: so basically, he hasn't gone backwards to 8 / 8 each core, this is a new junk nerf to the game.
