It is not worth it. You can spend the time just by playing and It will be way better. You will get better items and have fun.

You need to see muting as recycling to avoid throwing items but globally agree

I am talking from experience. I am rank 37 transmuting on hardcore. I think I only transmuted like 2-3 decent items during this process that took many many hours.

I also was here when you had to click and my arm needed rest becouse I has in pain while transmuting

I only do it becouse I am a big movie fan and I like to watch movies of all sort.

I have bad gear and sometimes I needed help with gear to play the game and I still got better items while playing.

Maybe It will get better later who knows but I just cant stop now I am half-way-there.

Ok so conclusion is that it isnt for casual players like me.

Correct not for casual players.

Muting is the only skill with notable profit potential.
It is the easiest skill to level & the only one where you can safely look away from the screen.

I only lvl muting ...reason is I play bufcore and I hope someday I will mute sth useful for myself.

Soon to start muting Tier VI items (lvl 15).

But its slow and will get slower and slower
