Actually it is from testing this for prof gain, and I do over think it right down to how many actions it takes to kill off the Well monster that spawns. Basically I try to kill the monster in 10-15 attack actions where I can gain maximum Prof points of 10 (excluding Event modifier).

Found it better with Heavy Weapons, as for Normal weapons, it normally takes twice the actions, thus wasting time.
