So can be good to hold onto a good event for an entire explore if you have the game open on a fresh catacomb and are either using a TD detector, have a no TD event or have used a map.

yes. Usually more helpful for the +EP's so obviously for most people once they finish the map, this is no longer much use, however if you're happy fighting regular mobs there's nothing stopping you walking over previously explored tiles.

He said once the map is finished, that applies to your situation too… that isn’t speculation.

Albeit yes it will take you the next 3 days to finish that map probably so you have plenty of time to stay in the previous event

I did edit my post previously and apologized... yet, I will most likely finish it tomorrow since I am on my last can of Bourbon now, and will have to buy another 12 tomorrow and complete it... after that... shit I should just do some low level runs and hope the maps from the catacombs = +X Well etc.
