if you want to be most efficient with your time spent, then you should fish up for higher level fish during faster fishing event and then cook them during faster cooking event. The top bar will fill in the same time, while you work on the bottom one faster, allowing you to do above your baseline. Also every 15 levels if you fish from a well you get rid of the lowest tier, for example during this event I could fish up to 15 from well even tho I have 7 prof, only catching herring, cod, trout and avoiding the dreaded sardines. Also since consuming fish take up one action in catacombs or town, sardines and herrings aren't worth much. I'd honestly use like 75-90% autostack until I get to cods (level 10) and maybe 50 from there. you have 16 itemslots and you need 3 per fish tier so for quite a while you could do what I did: have the stacks go life mana rare life mana rare etc per tier, then have one junk per tier to put the non stacked ones into. those still sell for a few fg per 100 for suffusers.
