Thanks for your answer!
About mages:
How to distribute stats? Also follow the overall 75 vit then ?int? Pattern as for rogue/fighter/barb?
Also is solo level a thing? I mean 60 starting life is nothing! Should look out for max life+Int items? What to lookout for item wise? First slot int charm attack with second slot charm with EE?
How to survive? Robes mostly provide magic defense not phys?!
Also as you barely attack with weapon I suppose it is mainly there to provide int? Is there a good way to sustain mana issues or just go to town when empty? Does mana Regen work in cata?
There are a lot of questions :)
Kind regards

stats are typically a personal preference thing. Especially on casters.
When soloing I personally aim for ~50 vitality on a caster and then rest into int. I dump my starting points into vit and then add more around 30ish until I get to 50 vit.
Having EE charm in second slot is a huge damage loss, even with the most incredible of int charms. Sure it saves mana but you may end up losing it while having to cast more times to kill stuff.
Survival is mostly tied to your heals. So EE charm in main slot and Heal charm in off slot.
Yes weapon is mainly for int but sometimes you will run into monsters that are temporarily immune to the element you're casting. You can wait for them to drop their shield or slowly kill them with your weapon.
Mana regen does not work in the catacombs. Solo casting typically has a lot of going to town involved to shrine/regen for mana.
