GP never meant anything to begin with but I would agree the double points don't offset the "terror" of dying in a game where people have literally played the same exact chars for year after year. I shifted to hardcore because I play a lot of solo and like to explore and figured it would be fun to self find gear.

SC has a much larger player base and is significantly cheaper but I don't play nearly enough to get anywhere close to certain classes. Sure I'm not as wealthy as other people but I wouldn't even scratch at 50 attempts a season while the resetters are typically 250 plus I believe.

Gear availability due to much of it being locked on MIA accounts or hoarders

Not enough groups to entice people to even build a set if there was

Not profitable because there arent enough skillers and those there are have fixed the price of everything at 1fg

The list really goes on and on.. Every nerf that hit the game hit HC twice as hard because it was already struggling

no guaranteed climbs. join a group 3/5 your 4/5 then you find out they afk or its a skiller group once it fills 5/5 or some dumb shit so you just log off in disgust

Ladderslasher player base is small. HC will always be 10-20% of total players base. That happens in other games too.

If LS players base increase HC will get more attention too imo.

Also people hoarding items because people usually don't pay enough for the effort it took for us to get gear.

It’s dead!? Who killed it!? I started playing with the “new” char slots. I mainly play sc but I do my part for the hc market by keeping my hc shop filled
