45 and 55 ee scales are not super easy to find and can get pricey. Just keep looking gear takes time to get
your other search is for an me lite, should also be easy to find but when you say your max price is 800 fg it will limit your EE (should still get 120-130 for that price)
As far as your guild choice, they started in April and the leader is already posting a sellout topic...there are others that play more and would help
Its summer here and game seems to slow down this time of year also

GL in your endeavors, funny i pmd you 7 months ago about gear you must have had some decent stuff on your account :p
edit: Lites suck anyways, this is on mp for 1550
Angelic fire XIV, Spell Damage: 122 to 327, +144% Enhanced Effect, +2 Critical Strike, +1 to 7 Life per Attack, +2% Armor Pierce

Yeah... that pm was from 2019. I honestly didn't expect you to even respond but surprised you did. I have alright gear, pretty spotty though and the better of them is in the vault.

It would be awesome to find a more active guild. As I originally stated I'm sure their a great group of people but their not as active as I'd like.

While I am able to solo (somewhat, takes me days to get to MQ level) it leaves a lot to be desired when I see people Mqing every hour or two.

This is one reason among a few why I made a suggestion thread years ago to allow us to turn off the notifications in chat about people passing/failing. My suggestion got shot down, though. -_- the spam in chat annoys me..

The problem is people here are 2 faces.

If a noob come around with 100-200k fgs, they will be down to their knees to sell him stuff and will invite him in their climb.

In the other case, if someone is just ''Average'' and may slow down their climb from 5-10 mins they wont allow you in the group.

Then this same people will QQ the game is dying.

I was a noob. I had little to no fg. After not getting a bunch of climbs I asked how to better myself. I became better. Slowly acquired more usable gear. Am in a solid guild. Now that I'm considered better than a newb, I still climb with whoever is in a group. I generally dont leave unless I just absolutely dont like someone or dont have time for an extended climb, in which some groups honestly do take longer.

There are still lots of people who will help complete noobs. It happened to me when I came back to the game from 5+ years, my first few climbs people absolutely carried me.

That being said, there were multiple times where I was excluded at the beginning because my gear was lacking. I don’t blame anyone though. I feel like it is a flaw with the game. The game is made so you should party to climb faster, so it kind of forces you to make groups. The issue is that if you group with someone who is new, it literally slows you down! It provides no incentive to help them out, other than being nice.

I also agree with light prince, that once you have learned how to play most groups are willing to let you in even if you have bad gear, as long as you try and dont to afk

It almost seems like there is a few questions here you are trying to ask: the first is ladder slasher worth playing if you have 0 fg, 0 experience, 0 guild friends, etc.

The second question is why can’t I find mid to low lvl gear for sale

The third being why can’t anyone join me or allow me to join their climb?

The fourth is why am I taking days to get mq while others get it 2-3 times a day?

To answer the first question: if you’re looking to get richer in this game then yes I think it’s worth it. Suicide your character and stay at whatever lvl is comfortable you and sell all the maps/items you find until you have enough fg to buy higher lvl items.

The 2nd is there ARE almost always items of 100 ee or less in the market (especially during the weekends) but they might be higher priced than you were hoping for or perhaps you are wanting only daggers for example and there are mostly clubs/staffs in the market (as an example). Either be patient and. Check the trade thread or the market constantly, or bite the bullet and buy the items you need but possibly at a price more expensive than you were hoping for.

3rd there are climbs going on almost all the time BUT they almost all start at lvl 1 and as soon as they full they continue with the same group until MQ then they make another run and another.....if you’re quick enough you might be able to join unless it’s a specific guild only run in which you’ll just have to be patient and wait for the next run. But if you are lvl 5 or higher then it’s going to be even tougher to find a group that wants you since it usually fills up quickly with other lvl 1 characters.

4th is yes regardless of your gear it will take longer to mq if you solo than if you are in a group. Also some of us do not care about gp and focus more on trying to find sellable items so we typically solo.

I think you need patience just like every other game. You’re not going to suddenly become godly after 1 week of playing unless you are able to drop serious fg and find the right seller.

Hey bud, sorry you feel that way. The reason people are able to buy awesome gear is because they invest a lot of their own money into the game. MFing can be very difficult.
I'm sorry our guild isn't as active as you might like - We do occasionally play Ladder Slasher but we also play League of Legends and plan to play D2R as well on release.

if you're looking for a guild that prioritizing Ladder Slasher more and actively looks for climbs, I think Storm might be better suited for you :)

You're more than welcome to stay with us if that's what you choose to do, and I'm sorry you haven't had the best experience with us as of late. I wouldn't say we're "tight knit", as we're a guild that's only existed for about 2 months. I'm still getting to know our members myself, and we're looking to grow in the future hopefully, across various games.

Interesting write-up. Not so much what I was going for but I'll take the information provided.
Also to add- I'm not exactly a new player. Been around JSP for some years and most of my gear is from 2011. I'm not looking to become godly, I understand that its FAR too late in the game to go for super big goals like rank 69 muting or even high rank prof in weapons/charms.

What I am hoping for is to find enjoyment out of this game again and for me that means a group of people that are willing to help out. I'm not at all looking for a handout- I'll put in the time and use the gear that I have acquired, I just don't want to go it alone.

Well said.

About the guild aspect too. My close friend just got into ladder slasher. And joined my guild. Im an active slasher (mainly solo artist cuz I work wierd hours) but I helped him get a charm set and we are working on gear sets together. We almost have a full axe and dagger set for him at around 90-110ee. All he needed was a little boost from me and now he's making 400fg every couple climbs. So I mean it's what you make it
And what you put in. Personally in my guild if your cool and I can trust you I will help build with you. And make you self sufficient. So tbh if you are starting at 0fg 0gear. Your best bet is to find a friendly guild. I mean I did that when I started over a decade ago. And got to a point where I own my own guild and have gear sets for every class. If you are going for quick and instant gratification. Ls isn't for that. But you will definitely meet helpful people and make fg if you spend the time.

It is what you make it

This community is tight knit and fairly cliquey.. but genuinely helpful to the new players.

Sorry for the double post I'm on my phone and meant that to be an edit
