1)
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=84569010&f=272However i'd keep it to 3 simple steps:
1. always use a rod
2. other than a first click where you can get in before the rod durability even moves, wait for the rod durability to move then click reel or click snag counter if snag comes up, spamming it means you usually can't counter the snags.
Snag counter only appears as the rod durability goes down, hence we wait to see if it appears then choose correctly.
3. The rod you use should be between the level of fish you intend to catch. Catching level 2 fish? use either level 1 (splinterered) or lvl 5 (pine) rods. Durability means the rod durability goes down less when catching fish, but also means when you're reeling it also goes down less per click, so to catch lots of fish fast, lower durability is often better.
2) Rerolling will allow you to select samurai, each character is separate though, so unlocking a samurai on one character does not mean you can use samurai on any of your other characters. Need to unlock them individually, only way to lose progress is when someone resets. Not expected for a while yet.
3) Hybrid is awful.
Casting on a samurai should only be done if your caster gear is 40+ more ee than your weapon and that you have equal int on your weapon/armor than you have dex/str for your charm and
In my case: I have a 219ee fire charm and 22 fire prof, so 241ee total. My level 55 ee dagger is only 144 and 12 prof so 156 total. I can tell you it's easier for me to cast and would need a dagger of around 190ee to match the damage dealt by my charm.
in most peoples cases they're better off melee'ing.
Lastly, shoot me a PM when you're climbing and i'll join you for the last 9 levels or so.
