we probably stopped about the same time then, my daughter will be 8 in august and my other daughter will be 7 in october.... kids and life happens. maybe it happened to all the og's as well.
game needs some advertising. its suprisingly not bad to play, just a bit expensive for good gear

Yea, I knew my now wife a total of 10 days before conception...trojan QC issue. Worked out well.



So...Also joined the U.S. Army in that time...been recruiting d2/d3 players to the darkside; including up to funding gear if needed.

Daggers and axes are more prevalent because they are the most used and most expensive, therefore the muters make those instead of swords.

Got to love real life and the surprises they bring to the front.

Read a lot of the replies and loved out loud about 400 or more currently playing LS seven(7) years ago... damn, I was active like 18 out of 24 hours per day and seeing 200 was the highest number. Damn it got to only 20 online because of drastic changes, now it is increasing... seeing 90+ is a bonus and once it hits 100... pull out the fireworks display to commemorate the rebirth of LS.

Okay... joking aside.

Not much has changed... the game is way easier excluding the fact that Robed character (Unlocked Monk / Ninja) are at a major disadvantage because getting to MQ level is + 2 level per unlocked character: Sammy (lvl 73), Pally (75), Monk (77), Ninja (79) etc... on top of that, the monster difficulty also increases while you are still only using level 55 items.

You can "Whistle" dixie all day long to make your runs faster if you are only in it for the GPs or unlocking characters.

Your gear is even better than it was 6 or 7 years ago, the monsters are just weaker below level 70.

Hey... welcome back, don't take my post as negative, just have fun with LS while you can, I still am, just taking time off to test DII HC SP P8 because the Event(s) for the last week are sad for my play style.

~90-130 ee MQ swords are unfortunately uncommon these days.

new players will often buy them and then forget LS and not sell the sword they bought "in case they come back"

about 6-10 swords disappeared over the past year this way and just not enough supply, started even recommending people consider rogue and using daggers/staffs simply for availability of MQ gear, if you go daggers it's samurai usable also, just needs clubs or axes when u hit pally.

would this create a market for custom made gear? i mean the people who mute stuff should be willing to mute swords if someone pays them to do it right? idk what the average muted dagger is worth but if someone offered them x fg per attempt with rights to buy if it comes out good that would work no?

People could just buy essence and mute them if it came to that. The problem is it’s so rng based and you could end up spending many times over what the item is “worth” to mute it.

Agreed with ol bighead here. newer players should just buy 100 ee daggers since there are so many of them because mutters are only muting high lvel axes, daggers and staves atm

I don't think those numbers were every achieved. I played when LS first come out when it was just text based, and quite a bit after (when they changed muting, took away well, took away arena, the whole Benell thing etc) and I don't ever recall there being 400, let alone 700!

I know there are others who have been around just as long and played way more so maybe they can say? i feel like 200 was the top, so 90 ain't so bad.

I have noticed that there are literally no swords for trade though, it is strange as everyone always wanted swords before..
