You can kill sneaky with melee attacks, but it will most likely take you 2 hours or more, whereas equipping a cast charm even as a melee player, it will take you say 1 hour... point of the matter is simple... either ask for assistance from a caster in "Catacombs" section, or just remake another catacomb climb (press F, make group, then leave group and restart fresh catacomb, or you can just make a group at the start of run and when you come across sneaky, leave the group etc)

Ambush is actually WAY easier, you just need to identify what abilities those monster types have and also use the "town to regen" to your advantage. if I remember correctly, you get better drops off of Ambush in comparison to the normal Evil Presence. Maybe others can let you know if drops are better from this Objective, I have been away too long to consider Ambush as an Objective to hunt for items like the old days where No Maze No More (NMNM) or Shamans were constantly hunted for drops.

I think you are correct, personally I can not say since I came back I only solo 99.99% of the time and Ambush is a rare occurrence. Also, I never get shamans, but do they still drop whites like they used to, or are the drops Magical + nowadays? Actually, do people still farm Shamans?

I don't feel bad making a new game and skipping them now. Got a new club so hopefully next time I meet them I can try and beat them.

Tbh my hits kept doing 0, so figured it was a lost cause and bailed.
