I did a little fishing in my days and I have to say ... rods are not the problem.
I have many chars full of rods.

If you want more rods, better rods... you will only decrease their value.
At this point, I guess, ppl dont even pick up low-mid dura rods

Voted option 2, since it would give a reason to pick up some white rods and then spend time searching for a well, just to have it dissappear after I toss the first one in. 😀

First option works too, just saves me the work, which is why it probably won't happen.
