It has to be a bug. If it was intentional surely they would come out and say so even if they forgot to include it in the patch-notes.

No need to even go into the other rules as they are secondary... Rule #1... you can have 16 CHARACTERS per account!.

Error message only says you need to "delete one", not delete 8+. This error message is incorrect

You may have up to 16 characters for your account. Multiple accounts per person are not allowed! Only one account per person is allowed on d2jsp.org!
