Agreed. I shrine gear worth thousands every month due to the fact that it takes too long for them to sell and I can earn way more from having the market slot for mutes.

I know I've glyphed/trashed hundreds to thousands in usable stat gear that I just cant be bothered to store. Before the change to how the market timer worked I couldnt even blind list them because id be wasting my money. I just would like to list low level gear for 1-20fg for noobs without cutting into the tiny number of slots I have to help the high level muters.

The market already has enough junk worth less than 1 fg in it which thankfully disappears in 7 days until some noob either trashed it or re-places it into the market again. More trade slots just means even more junk in the market

Edit I wouldn’t mind if the game has a built in feature that every item that tries to be sold for 1 fg and doesn’t sell in (7 days or 2 weeks or a month) gets automatically trashed....

My question is why does the junk bother you? There are adequate search tools that you shouldn’t even see them if you’re searching properly so really you just don’t like the fact that other people could potentially have more chances of selling something and muters might have an adequate supply of skillables available all the time.

Let’s assume I have a lvl 30 magic item. Useless to use but I can sell it to a muter/glypher/whatever. So I go to the market with my limited slots available to use and notice that there are (for example) 10 other lvl 30 items in the market for 1 fg. Now I could take a 1/10 or so gamble, put my item in the market, and hope that it sells quickly. Then I find another and do the same. And another, etc until I run out of space to sell stuff. So as the time expires I have the option to try again (and hope there is less competition) or throw away this item and put up something else. Now because I have limited slots to sell, the next time around I might decide to put up a lvl 35 instead of the 30 which will have less (typically) items at this level being sold and maybe I can sell it for 2 fg. Or maybe te

The problem is if everyone now gets more slots to sell more junk items at 1 fg then instead of say 10 lvl 30 items trying to sell for 1 fg there might now be 100. So now instead of having less lvl 35’s there are now even more in market.

So your only argument is really based on greed because with a limited amount you’re more likely to sell something. You’re telling me that a beneficial update for everyone else and especially the skillers isn’t more important than your one or two extra fg? Gtfo

This affects everyone including yourself. I made my opinion. You made yours. But continue to belittle it if it makes you any better of a person.....

Generally speaking, there's the marketplace (which is great).

However, establishing trades out of game (forum) and then executing those trades in game...it seems like this experience could be improved?

... Deleted answered content by others...

Anyhow what are your thoughts, and what are your tips for trading with the current system that is in place?

Bold/Red ... What are you referring to?

#1 Option to trade items when you are not logged into the game &/or D2jsp?
#2 Option to trade items like D2 for fg with NO FEE?
#3 Both.

I would go with #1 if that was available. This would make it easier for trading items (old & new) with people from different timezones or when real life matters interrupt any set date/time for trade to happen. Would make it smoother for trades yes, as long as there is an easy method to do this without abusing Fee.

The below idea is only a baseline on how to implement something to #1, and implementing the ideas of others that have suggested "LOCKABLE" items on their character(s).

Basic idea is to include a "Trade Lock" to items on your mules that you want to sell off, then you can just link those characters in a trade post.

YOU the seller has to HAVE A SET PRICE. The Market Fee is automatically paid. There isn't a time limit unless the item has been 'bought' by someone or YOU unlock the item itself. CAN NOT BE TRASHED unless you unlock it and make the mistake yourself.

There are a few problems that come to mind... Reset & Mule(s) rolled back to level 1

Anyway, as I said, "BASILINE" and "BASIC IDEA". Just need some ways to improve on that.
________________

If you were talking about other things, I am happy with the current Marketplace... however, PM trading does exist, and people do try to get out of paying the fee, but there are also things like SWAPPING item(s) for other item(s) in LS, this needs fixing also.

So I was thinking what if Paul kind of made it like the vault?
What I mean by this is that we can buy extra selling slots per month.
At the same rates that the vault currently operates at.
While keeping the MP at its current operating funtions otherwise.
That would be a win/win compromise in my eyes :hail:

Somebody make this a thread.
