Id personnally consider clubs as useless as heavies but thats only my opinion.
I just dont get why I would invest on some weapons considering they deal less dps for the same amount of ee, they are harder to find and you can only use them on the classes thats we usually get through rather quickly except the BA which can be used on HH
i am incredibly unconvinced they're less dps. I've seen some heavy users rival warlocks. Especially powerful as tanks seeing you can get revenge/wildswing.
Very hard to accurately compare though.
Spears oddly enough are one of the best heavy weps because you can get stuck on both monk/ninja. This is generally why spears are one of the highest values. Battleaxes probably with the highest value as they have same functionality as axe which are also high value.

No i suggested it because spear is the heavy version of a dagger.
Should longswords be able to be used by ninjas and polearms by warlocks then?

I also think fighter should be able to use Warhammers.
Fighter can use pole which is heavy version of staff.
This change does literally nothing, because of the 90/10 split, should always be taking a barb for the warhammers anyway imo.
My personal opinion to get some extra life into Heavy Weapons is to spice up who can use what. Currently as i said, just battleaxes are the most useful.
Warhammers ~ Paladin + Monk. Gives the option of running swords + warhammers as well as daggers + warhammers.
Battleaxes ~ Fine as is. Paladin + HH
Spears ~ Monk + HH. This allows swords + spears to cover ALL melee classes.
Polearms ~ Samurai + Paladin + Ninja. Gives potential for Staff + Polearm sets and retains dagger + polearm.
Longsword ~ Samurai + monk + ninja would be an interesting selection. Allows axes + Longsword to cover all classes.
This would lead to price increases for both longsword/spears, but probably less than you may expect. I expect the rest to not really move in terms of value.
It could be argued whether or not feeders can use heavy weapons at all if this change was to be in place.
However i would hope it would add some viability to the rest of the heavy weapons and potentially see some more sets in action
