I’m pretty sure it varies based on the type of weapon used. Also wasn’t crit rate of casters tied to the amount of int on the character vs the int of the monster? Str:dex ratios also played into number of crits too.

+1 Critical Strike is NOT 1% chance at all, and it has NOTHING to do with weapon type.

+1 Critical Strike is based off of the Stat (my personal opinion) as an "Effect" chance it will activate.

Casters are lucky... Intelligence = more "Effect" chance for a "Critical Strike"
Club ... Dexterity = more "Effect" chance of a "Critical Strike" (+1 or more CS means more "Effect" chance)
etc

This is NOT 100% proven... but just look at "Events" and the "Magic Luck % Effectiveness" ... it ONLY benefits those wearing "+ Magic Luck", not those that aren't.

Don't take my word, not many do, just quell on it a little bit more and you may think outside of the box.

For daggers at least opposite stat seems to have a higher crit chance gain than crit strike

This doesn't isolate the +crit mod itself though as higher stats affect your chance to crit independently of it (as I understand it)

Testing with the amount of +crit as the only variable should be more accurate

Basically I have done this already. Guardian = 30 str / 10 dexterity and USES all HEAVY weapons (same ratios as normal weapons) ... look it up if you want.

+ Critical Strike is NOT % chance to deal a "Critical Hit (double damage)".

Now, increasing stat ratio does increase the "Effect chance to do a Critical Hit (Double damage)" based off of the lower stat in the ratio formula.

+ Critical Strike increases the "Effect chance to do a Critical Hit (Double damage)" in combination with the lower stat ratio.

Charms are different, they DON'T have a ratio, so Intelligence is the "Effect" chance to deal a Critical Hit (double damage) and + Critical Strike improves the "Effect" chance etc.

That is based on my own testing for some time, even with Meridius and BWComformity... I just have not bothered looking back on the test thread we had done years ago... and I am talking over 2 years and knowing the game has NOT changed that much regarding Critical Strike and Effect etc.

I'm doing some thorough testing now on this. If anyone can lend me some high crit (10+) or high stat (30-40+) gear to test with, it would help me get more comprehensive data points. I would return it to you after testing ofc

I could never figure out where to start trying to work out ML.

Maybe +1 ML = 0.1% chance
