Yea, I played some HC during the last MD event which was horrible. Ended up quitting and starting on sc instead.
You are right its indeed possible, just takes much much longer to get there

i mean its a gear based RPG, just like any other game where gear is important(diablo, wow, poe, etc), gotta either invest the fg($$ in other games) or the time and grind it out. Unfortunately in LS takes a lot of time to find anything worth while because of the drop rate, but it seems new players tend to find a great item within 5 climbs

Also you are a ninja somehow already, melee solo lvl 75+ gets brutal. Playing on feeder and only having to go to 71 will help

Yea and I have been grinding alot, which is totally fine... Its just this massive increase in difficulty to get through the same content doesnt happen in any of these other games.

And it seems strange, since it really halts any further progress during the event.

/set easy 1 is my suggestion if you havent done this yet ^ but yeah solo on a robe class is hard enough even with gear and you have to reach much higher lvl with them compared to feeder classes, so yeah just start a new feeder class and you can finnish your ninja when the MD event is over

Yes, it is difficult for new players at the beginning.
But don't expect to become an instant mob-killer unless you buy some gear to upgrade your char as you level up
Trying to MQ with lvl 20 gear, for example, just will not cut the cake

Every one of the so-called ''elite'' players started from scratch,
and managed to achieve their current status by wheeling and dealing, not whining and pining

This is from a player who was in it from the beginning, with no team play,
no running from the well-mob, no swapping of gear except thru the MP
where it was simple to sit in the weeds and snipe gear, and no vault.

If you want to get to MQ, I suggest you get involved in group climbs, keeping an eye out for helpful drops.

Most players will appreciate a tank, esp one who responds positively to advice

this is a good strategy if you're best items are for mage/barb. Alternatively climb your main character as a barb to work on proficiency and to make use of your current proficiency.


Sorry if my first comment was a bit negative, as i fully agree that MD is a complete nuisance to new players and i think the game is better off without it, although last time i suggested that, i got shot down too

Problem is /set easy 1 doesn't work at 71 and on or atleast for whistle.
