unfortunately some gear doesnt exist u need heal charm with ee+dex ofc higher ee with decent dex, robe dex+int, ee+int staff or dagger, i had this https://ladderslasher.d2jsp.org/itemHistory.php?i=46548608&c=0, but never found a decent attac or heal charm to make it work, if u check my chars ull find some left hybrid items left, imo u need be full melee for solo, for group u can heal decent but u sacrifice the melee dmg for cast

my main is 3/31 secondary is 3/11 feels like i havent passed anything in forever.. lol granted it is also on HC and i am 90+% of the time going solo..

Please don’t consider harakiri or go walking around the Aokigahara forest at night time with a long rope if you fail to pass monk multiple times.....

I almost felt it when Strip passed Monk on the first try.

I've tried hybrids (as in casting with damage charms + melee).

Basically the short of it is dont.


Stick with melee and a heal charm (I personally think salvation is a waste of points, easier to just shrine, so i skip the heal charm bit too).

Casting in groups is kind of OK as long as your equip is worth like 40k+, otherwise avoid unless there's no other option and there isn't a monster difficulty event going on.
You'll still find melee should deal more damage unless your cast gear is worth 10x more than your melee.
