fighting EP's down TD's imo is up there with wells.
The hard question really is, would killing stuff twice as fast with 0 TD's be more beneficial than fighting the stronger ones?
from my experience, TD's do have an impact on the stats of item drops as well as the tier. This could be coincidence, but it's my own belief.
If you were down 4 TD's from level 30 to level 75, then i'd expect "something" worth 100+ fg.
