On hardcore you lose items when you die

From the three(3) characters you have on SC with the items you have available now, I can assume three(3) things:

1... You had gear 8 years ago and more characters, you got bored, sold your gear and deleted most of your characters and held onto what you could not sell.
2... You only ever played once in a blue moon as you stated to waste some time on game and did NOT get much of anything.
3... You left a ton of items on the Marketplace and the new update removed them completely.

Excuse me?

According to Paul's LS Item Vault page, they're supposed to be deleted after 1 year, but from my own experience, that isn't true

About 3 more months and we can find out if that was implemented in with the Marketplace purge function.

I think it's been there since the vault was first added to the game if I remember
