this doesnt explain or have anything to do with me not having a Well in my well map. wich have happened 2-3 times now

It was providing more validity to the last square explored on a Map cancelling out the +Well mod because of the Treasure Chest.

Your post also made me think of ONE other reason why the +Well did NOT appear, and it is because it was cancelled out by another Treasure Chest exposed on the map EARLIER in the run.

Reasoning: A treasure chest is the ONLY spot in a catacomb or a map where you have to ENGAGE compared to a Well, Emblem or Spin.

Working as intended was my favorite :) especially when it gets fixed or changed in later patches and he drops the old "I never intended such and such to be possible"
