Id rather not pay several fg per level using fish when I can throw on an ee robe and only need shrines.

I wouldn't argue against them being helpful, just that as far as pure speed goes stat gear > tank gear even soloing

For soloing *Lvl 15-25+, EE any armor > stat armor any day. Period. I speak from years of experience playing this game.

*this depends on how good your gear is overall

I was able to stay in cata my last solo climb killing more mobs when using a tank armor over a stat because I can’t 1-2 shot anything in higher levels.

As soon as you stop 1-2 shotting the mobs its less useful to use stat gear because they get too much time to counterattack which results in chunks of hp lost per hit.

What if I never started 1-2 shoting?!

Even with perfect gear, tank is still >>> stat at high levels because you’re getting hit by up to 3 mobs at once but you can only attack one at a time. At low levels it’s fine to use stat gear because you oneshot them and by the time your health starts to get noticeably low, you level up. It really is that simple.
