Solo: salvation on any class + doublestrike on melee or doublecast on WL, powercast on any mage

Whistle climb

mage: all 3 mage abilities
samurai (back): multistrike, 1 row ability from feeder
samurai (front): multi + double
Paladin (back): multi + 1 row ability from feeder
Paladin (front): revenge + multi
Monk (back): cross + multi + double
Monk (front): revenge + cross + double
Ninja (back): multi + both column abilities
Ninja (front): revenge + both column abiltiies
Warlock: multi + doublecast + 1 mage ability OR multi + chaos
Headhunter (front): wildswing + slapdash + multi
Headhunter (back): slapdash + multi
Alchemist (front): paraphysical + chaos
alchemist (back): chaos + multi

When exploring you might want to take powercast/powerstrike as third or replace any other third ability

thanks for the input very helpful to me :)

Not disputing your input here, but how can you stipulate those abilities WITHOUT taking into account the persons gear or group dynamics?

For starters, in your description above, the ONLY feeder class you pointed out was MAGE... what happened to the rest of them?

doesnt matter what gear you have. This is the go-to for whistle

feeder just use whatever you want and hits the most mobs obviously

He only included the good feeders ;)

pretty much :D

He also didnt include any information for abilities if you are in the middle position!!!
Use sammy for feeder

Welcome to 2k19, there is no mid position used anymore. Thats also why I didnt post any arena builds

Quote (killerkrug @ 13 Mar 2019 18:45)
oh thats quite easy

mage multi cast
samu multi cast
pala multi cast
monk multi cast
ninja multi cast
wl multi cast
HH never got so far probably multi cast

i hope i could help

well, that is not fully true. going full multi cast on wl is just a wasted slot in whistle climb. You miss so much actions and damage doing it that way

So if you have no caster gear and have a Warlock you just settle it with melee / healer, then your abilities will change.
Not being an ass about this, but I have been in that position on Hardcore getting to lock and not having caster gear.

EDIT: mq staff with ee was level 30 @ 57% ee.

I mean you can play without a weapon as well
Question was what abilities you should use and I posted that. If you don’t have caster gear and warlock it might be time to buy some

All true... I have decent caster gear now: gifted / found & bought, yet, different types at certain tiers.

Basically Mooj and his friends helped me get my first ever Master Quest, I tanked with Vitality gear: Weapon / Armor / Main charm. Would you do the same now since Whistling is your key to Master Quest on a frequent basis? It is called carrying a person, but compared to when Mooj and his friends helped me to now where whistling is so simple and basic, it should be easier for you (Meridius) and your friends to help others with no gear but give them utter junk to help you and your friends get more MQs.

EDIT: what advise would you give them during the climb, what abilities would you advise them to use?

You're talking about a time when there was WAY less gear just to make yourself more relevant

He already posted his advice... why make things difficult all the time? Ill answer your questions above... No they wouldnt because nobody is dragging some noob without any gear to 85. There is plenty of gear available on sc and even on HC we have better gear than what you keep using as examples. Anyone that even attempts to mq using a lvl 30 staff with 57ee now is beyond retarded. People list 60-70ee gear for next to nothing.

I understand your point here. I do NOT argue it at all. The best way I can explain this is by how I see the game and potential for MY class creation.

Okay, I want to build a character class that is useful for all encounters: Solo / Group using gear that is NOT superior to assist Elite players or Beginners with their goals! Now, I don't want the easy road, I want to have fun, explore and enrich either them or myself during the climb, while doing this I also benefit by gaining proficiency to the items I have access to... hopefully upgrading them at the same time... whistling is not one of my endeavors, BUT, it is not something I would ignore if a friend needed a +1 to fill a spot.

Whistling to me is a waste of time in a game that specifies gaining Ranks takes time.

Obviously you failed to see the point... but... you did express the simplist of things to state... YOU would NOT carry a NEW person to Master Quest BECAUSE they DON'T have the GEAR or the FORUM GOLD to buy NEW gear.

YOU FAILED TO SEE THE POINT... what advise would you give a new person with 0 forum gold and crap gear for a whistle climb (wanting them to fill the 1 spot)? What abilities would you tell them to use? Would you tell them to make a MAGE and use this and that ability? Would you give them forum gold to buy your spare crap gear to aid your group in the whistle climb? What lengths would you go?

Just like the thread asked... what abilities would you choose for et cetera... I just pointed out that it is dependent ON gear, build, and much more... if you want to be blind to these facts, then you are just ignorant in your response.
