Since the game has evolved a lot more compared to previously, a person can utilise this idea more effectively.

Maps now have +X Evil Well on them.
Map level cap does NOT effect monster level of welled items.
Fishing rank from Well is also not affected (not 100% sure here), thus random level monster spawn.

Basically, level a character up to 65 or MQ level, "Create group" / remove the tick from "Auto Invite Others" (either select Guild Only or not)
Use Map with +Evil Well (normally a patched, rawhide or tanned).
Then quickly simply find well or others, start fishing until satisfied.
Now, you can just Well any items afterwards until the well explodes.

This basically removes all of the obstacles previously, outside of people wearing ML or other stuff to improve fishing.

Im more against the fishing change because of the fact that if someone sits down to fish they arent looking to battle. They have no intentions of climbing/fighting. They want to skill. Skilling is already such a massive waste of time. Why should a suggestion originating from a non-skiller that negatively impacts skillers be considered seriously? Lets just add monsters to everything and make getting to the top ranks take a couple MORE years than it already does. The other portions of the suggestion are related to monsters spawning during explore... which you do when you are looking to FIGHT.

Keep combat OUT of skilling. Its already slow enough.

Game is easy though right? If it's implemented be prepared for a fight... I like the idea

If its implemented its just another great reason to climb over skill. As if I really needed more reasons to avoid skilling :rofl:

Not really, it provides you with something else to do other than click buttons while fishing. I would likely start fishing if this happened.

Fishing:

Basically it boils down to this if this idea was implemented:

1. I want to fish without encountering monsters: I only fish in the "Fishing Pond"
2. I want to fish and have the chance to increase my Ranks in Fishing / Weapon or Cast &/or healing: I only fish in the "Evil Well"

It is player choice... just like myself, I don't like using glyphs, so I won't skill it or buy it, but, if it is offered freely, I would use it. This actually goes with fish and comfrey.

I would just like to be able to fish without an all too common disconnect wiping out any fishing rod I'm using instantly, no matter how good it is

I remember when monsters spawned when I fished. I’d rather they don’t spawn anymore. I don’t want my skiller to rip.

I dont wanna see any more high lvl fishers die from something stupid. Accidentally killing safmy's lvl 1 skill made me feel terrible :( I could only imagine someone coming back accidentally fishing a lvl 20+ on a lvl 1

The chests spawning mobs just makes sense. Trapped chests should have even better rewards and only open after killing the mobs. The mobs should also be EPs to supplement the chests rewards :) if you are exploring and you are trying to fight so i see no problem with more spawns.


I wouldnt mind it happening from fishing as long as the rod doesnt break if you die.
