like I said, I don't want fishing to be easier because it's one of the most useful skills, I just want it to be reasonable at a higher rank

Solutions as I see them

Option 1
Add a way to buy slots

Option 2
Add extra slots as a mod or add it to EIS gear

Option 3
Reduce the number of tiers that are possible to fish at a specific level (top 4 or 5 tiers)
- This could be standard for both well and town
- If the change was applied to town you could either extend the cutoff to make wells useful or cause the minimum or maximum values to be increased while on well (ie tier 2 fish has a max spawn of 200... maybe increase cap by 25-50% while on well so the new cap would be 250 or 300)

Option 4
Add an auto trash option
-Could be incorporated into the auto stack or give you a separate check list of which tiers to trash

Option 5
Allow us to split stacks so each tier only needs 1 stack of fish instead of 2-3 (life, mana, cooking)

Option 6
Just give an extra 8 slots to start with

Option 7
Add a new quest that gives slots

Option 8
MQ milestones give additional slots (10 mqs on the character gives +1)
-Has the added bonus of incentive to skill on main characters

Option 9
There is no problem. Skills are functioning as intended. (Paul)

Maybe Paul could add in a new “item,” that gives + “item” slots to a character when used. I would guess that he wouldn’t want the item slots to persist through resets or rerolls like potions and totems, so it would probably be much more useful on HC than SC... but if there was a chance he’d say yes to permanent then I guess a totem-like drop rate with very low chance for anything other than a +1 roll would make sense to me. I know everyone wants a cheap, easy fix, but that wouldn’t be in-line with the hard-mode status of Ladder Slasher IMO ;)

I think someone can make 5 ranks of fishing faster at my rank (44-49) than to find one totem (disregard 2 that would be needed) to account for the new tier of fish they're getting

Outside of what has been stated by people and the best option being that Item Slot section increase when a character wheres Extra Equipment Slot items:
e.g. +3 EES Item also increases character Item Slot section by 3 as well.

If that is not an option to look at, then maybe for every 5 Ranks of Fishing &/or Cooking &/or Suffusencing you get an extra Item Slot, this would mean that the skiller character receives the benefit and it is not abused in any way.

I would totally get onto that train

edit: this plus the fishing tier balance would be perfect, because 5 fishing + 5 cooking = 2 EIS, which you need for a new tier of fish!

Of course. I’m just giving an option that seems in-line with current game mechanics and isn’t an easy-mode dream :)

On HC these would last a really long time so it’d probably benefit you more than others, but I could see it being possible if enough people wanted it and it resulted in a decent amount of fees :P

It's wasteful to just trash those little sardines when they can be put back into the pond and grow big...
