I wish offcasting chars shrined more often instead of not wearing any mana gear and sitting with zero mana for 50% of a level

or invested enough to play the character properly

mediocre melee character > above average off caster

I out damage even above average melee gear while casting on my monk, you just need to play it right
And my casting gear is good, but not great in comparison to SCs standards

You would think that. But they don’t

They sit at 0mana for half a level and do nothing lol

Yeah, but there are at least not many ppl doing it
I always use fish, but I rarely need them even without any +mana gear on lvl15+
But then again, I just use the acc slot to cast and buff the damage with int charms

So how do u spec ur monk and which abilities?

I use my WL gear, int charm and cast from acc slot
depending on the group I use just multicast or the 2 mage abilities
all points into int

pretty standard imo

Come on you cant say you have „good“ gear ... you got perf ee charms/perf int items etc and pretty gg int charms lol



I am using acc casting aswell and i rarly run out of mana ( maybe at 90+% ) and then i use one fish or miss one attack when i am at 97%+

But 50% exp and out of mana didnt happend ones to me, but my gear is def not avg ( 220ee lvl 55 and quite good int/mana gear for low lvl )



/e: full int on all chars and mostly full multi cast ( because bad connection ... )

i dont have perf ee charm from lvl10 to mq at all
compared to my other gear, my casting setup is lackluster

Depends on the group.

If you're in a group with 2+ people with subpar gear or clicks then it's bad. You run out of mana around 50% so half of each level you have to shrine and lose xp/time or melee and pretend to do damage until the next level.

If you're in good groups with good gear then it's better than it was before.

Suggestion, get warlock :D, suggestion #2, get heavy armors/ weapons with int / mana for more sustain + usually are pretty cheap.

Melee is just better on these classes if you don't have great gear. The character is made for melee so you'll get more out of it with melee.
