Diablo clone plays guardian alot he tanks / heals they lack serious damage tho

I use heavies only on Guardian, and with the new update, they drop more frequently and attack faster than before. Don't know if he
uses heavies on his guardian, but Heavies seem to counter the lack of damage.

I'm not suggesting this by any means... but the most simple solution to this problem IMO, would be to skew mobs to use physical attacks over casts even more than they currently do. I mean... maybe plate and chain defend magical like robe and padded defend physical, but you can still tank in a plate because of the ratio of physical attackers to magical. Even if you put on Dan's 277 ee lvl 55 "robe" or w/e you need like 10k hp to tank anything  I don't think "it's a bad tank" is the real reason people don't use guardian. I think the problem is that the monsters aren't strong enough that you even really need a dedicated tank/healer in the current version of the game. It's a shame, but then again this game's great. It's just a minor flaw for now... until Paul makes the monsters harder ;)

100 base vita yields 5600 Hit points ... 060 base Int yields 3360 Mana points @ level 55
By those numbers, to reach 10,000 hit points means pumping Vita and ignoring healing capacity and mana pool (Use int items to increase healing capacity/magical defense)
During my solo play, I find higher levels get me nearly killed, especially multi strike/cast or pulfulgore (QD) spawn either normal or evil presence. As for in group, it seems
easier because the monsters attacks are distributed between each person in the group, only on few occasions they spam hit tanker... this is why you may feel monsters need
to be harder, in reality they don't, the AI needs tweaking to initially attack tanker on spawn then disperse attacks to others.

Now... that would make your tanker suffer mass damage in one hit, I wouldn't want to be tanker in group exploring 55 upwards then, even whistling may be a mission on 9 spawn.

The drop in guardian play is not primarily the result of the guardian becoming less good (The now halfway reversed HM nerf was the only thing that hurt it)
The guardian much like the mage can be a very powerful class to play but it's a feeder you pass quickly and move on (faster now with the reduction in doors)
Look at how little value casting daggers have, despite the power of mage ppl choose not invest in items that they will only use on the one feeder class.
The player base has matured and has less interest in a obtaining specialty gear for feeder class that uses very obscure items compared to the mainstream axe/dagger/dex/non heavy armor sets everyone uses.
The better geared your group of players the less need they have for healing. (Though the higher MQ requirements will certainly push HC groups in that direction)
