There are more better gear out there today compared to back then, climbs took 6-8h (arena took 2days for us with lowish gear)
I started out using lvl 35 sword up to mq in arena and that prolly took me 5-7days to complete.

Ppl are just whining alot more now compared to back then, and that is the reason why paul wont come on and talk to us anymore.

With that old 150 players base people stopped at any levels and could jump in any group when they came back.

The biggest issue with new players is having at least SOME gear and also clicking.

A lot of people find the game monotonous and it really is and they get up and take a dump in the middle of a climb. Come back alt + tab to another game etc etc.

If you click well for the majority of the climb and have at least a small setup of a 30 35 aND 50 55 weapon with ee people generally won't mind climbing with you.

There are people with good gear that people don't necessarily enjoy climbing with because they don't click well. Use multistrike more! It will get your actions up and give you much more proficiency per climb and make the climb faster.

Edit: biggest factor of all is that new players don't tend to stick around. Hundreds of new players log into the game every week. 1 or 2 stick around for a week. Once a month a new player joins and sticks around for a few months.

Why waste so much effort on trying to get someone to stay in the game when you are 99% sure they will leave.
