That is why this thread is here, to discuss some of these matters.
If you enter the "Quest Hall", you are intentionally going to play there, so these items would not necessarily sit on a mule or gather dust, as you will have to use them to complete a series of quests as you get higher levels.
As for trading these items, maybe, but then again, they are only good when doing quests, and if you have the items to complete quests without gaining the rewards of the previous quests, maybe it would be harder.
Again, there needs further discussion... I don't have a full complete idea, just a base. The input of others could make it become better, maybe not, don't know. Just wanting to see more content in game, other than just 45min runs for GP

Maybe something like this at the start. [even though reward can be used in a normal catacomb later on]
Quest 1: [Feeder Class]
At level one, you have to clear maze before reaching level 4. Reward [3x +1 stat potions] / Quest Item: Weapon of Light [To banish the undead king in next quest]
