Everyone answered your questions about stat'ing points and whether they are on items like armor / weapon / charm.
Only thing missing in this thread.

Vitality / Intelligence Potions and Soften the Sneaky objective.

If you use a potion at level 50, you will ONLY get 1 hit or mana point to pool [this also applies to Sneaky] = loss of 49 [it looks pitiful, but it is still a loss].
Now, when you level up to 51, it will work accordingly... only loss is 49 for that 1 level at 50.

As for Sneaky... best to get that objective as soon as possible to reap the rewards.

This isn't entirley clear, so let me make sure I understand what you're saying correctly:

Adding vitality (int) by potion does not increase your life (mana) pool according to your level upon using the potion, but error is corrected the next time you level-up.

Vitality from Soften the Sneaky Shell somehow applied in such a way that it provides a greater benefit when obtained at low levels.

Is this what you are saying?

If so, how does it work with the objective? Does it only scale with levels you obtain after completing the objective?

whatever level you do the objective at you will loose that many points of life -1. (compared to a normal stat put into vitality)
because there seems to be a slight error in the calculation on the life.
so therefore doing it at a lower can lower that loss of life.
it's only a minimal amount, but some would like to take any advantage they can get. no matter how small.

1 point vitality [stat pont used] = 1 hp pool [bonus] + 1 hp pool per vitality stat'ed previously.
As you gain a level, you gain equal amount of hp pool to your total vitality currently used... i.e. 100 vita = 100 hp

Soften the Sneaky Shell Level Requirement = 15 +, so if you are lower level you will not get the reward.

EDIT: I also believe that you get 1 hp per level of your character... but now I am not 100% certain on this... :D
