it has nothing to do with lazyness. the way it is now is just unnessecarily inconvinient and could be much easier. thats the point.
for now u have to find ways around it, but in the long run this should be improved and i am sure it will be improved by reading pauls post here.

btw whats the difference in the map subtypes? do they have special "home monsters"?

I could imagine that Arctic maps will have lots of slugsliders for instance :) Just a thought.

Yes. A fire map would entail monsters with fire charms and fire abilties etc etc.
