The only people who really have the right to be mad about the economy are the ones who spent money while on this site.
Otherwise its not like you're wasting anything but time

have to much invested in my items to bother selling at 10% of their value. therefore easier simply not to sell. the amount of players need to change not the prices. no matter what the prices are without players it makes no difference. there have been too many 100k and up sellouts where millions of fg have been drained from players pockets. not to mention other "glitches"

If anyone wants my items (if I ever place them up for sale, that is), you had better be ready to pay what I want for them.

I will not place gouge prices on them, nor will I sell them for a pittance.

Rest assured, they are still being fully utilized, so you don't have to worry about lining my pockets for quite some time.

imo the price of items being too expensive is maybe 1/4 of the problem if that

There's a difference between items that are actually in use and what I'm talking about though.
I still see some people who aren't willing to trade anything of theirs, even after not having touched the game for 300+ days, because they're not getting what they paid for them.
Sounds ridiculous to me, but oh well. I'm not saying that's all there is to the problem. Definitely not.
The too many few updates and absolutely not involved staff, community-wise, isn't helping.

right because the game goes through changes, the items they have in the future could be worth more than they ever had been before. like when crits were changed, dex was changed, teir caps installed and so on or they could come back to play. it's not like d2 where you can just go out and get whatever you want any time you want it. which is why the prices are elite.

Supply vs Demand
Each user has a limited storage space to store stuff. Alot of people quit and sold gear, adding surplus.
Less than stellar gear has to be trashed or sold "cheap." Meanwhile new gear is constantly farmed / muted adding to supply.

The only fix is a new supply of players. This is unlikely given the small elitest the community mixed with the cata system & reduced shrines. Both of which make solo play far less appealing than group and require new players to heavily invest to be accepted.

With the whole 4gp You have earned in almost 3 years I doubt you have the insight to understand the situation.

The reason the market crashed was because of multiple updates that did nothing to help the situation. Update after update pissed more and more people off until you got to where less than 100 people total play actively. The reason prices went down was unlike in the past where 20+ people are lookin for a certain type of item instead of 2-3 people looking for it. Now there used to be maybe 2-3 of that item for sale where as now there are 5+ because of all the people quitting.

I don't understand why supply and demand are such hard concepts for people to grasp. In the past the demand was far greater than supply and now supply is nearly triple the demand.
