unlike everyone else providing constructive criticism, my post was solely to be a dick - please don't get confused

I wouldn't expect anything less :)

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I agree a 5 minute video would be better. However, this is what I came up with initially--a complete starter seriers that should answer most of the questions that beginners will have with this game. The guides are very thorough and the information is up-to-date and readily available. I know when I started the game, I read every single thing I could find and thankfully most of that was current. What the current LS guides are lacking most is an Updated 'Nara Guide' and as I didn't want to step on toes and remake his, I decided to make my own version via video that will walk a noob by the hand and explain everything they need to know to get started on their first climb.

Some say too much... meh. It's a series created with the purpose of being thick in details, insider tips, and serve as a 1 stop shop to help become familar with the game. I'm not a video editting guru. I spent like 4 hours trying to fix my first video that I screwed up the frame capture rate and decided to scrap it and do it again. In the end, I didn't use adobe premiere on it at all.

To those who want answers, there is a legitimate place to find them now. That's what I wanted to provide and that's what I did.
I welcome anyone else who is more of a suave video guy to do better. I like my flow and actually think my videos are solid. I know everyone that already commented didn't bother watching them completely before commenting (as you'd still be watching them).

GL & realize the target audience isn't anyone who has commented yet ;)

FYI: I will not be redoing these either. I had an idea for this project to tinker around with my new computer. I'd rather spend my time editting home videos of my children instead. To those with various ideas, feel free to make your own guides. I & the community would love to see them!

TBH, if someone is going to lose their attention watching a tutorial video, they will never make it to level 10 playing LS before losing their attention...

But, it is what it is.  You're allowed to disagree. :)

There is a difference between game interaction and a guide.

It is very hard to get someone to sit and pay attention let alone retain information for long periods of time.

Just my opinion. My company does Industrial Training CBT's. I don't personally do the storyboards since I am a programmer, but I have overhear lots of the grief by the people who develop them :)

Still, props for the videos. People seem to give you a lot of shit for all of your guide's, but even if all of them aren't perfect a lot of them are pretty helpful.

I actually like all of them except the 'get rich quick' ladder slasher guide :P

The Video Series details the basics on starting LS. This should serve useful for those who don't take the time to read the basics and I believe should be a sticky replacement to Nara's superb and highly outdate guide (2008) in Character Builds and Discussion

Feel free to leave comments here / youtube if you care to provide feedback. Also note that I ended up having to do this video twice as my first go around the video / audio were about 8 minutes off at the end of the 40min vid. Sorry to those who let me climb and record for 3 lvls as that video was redone :(

Thanks and enjoy!

Note: These can be found in my profile for future reference

Awsome job there Stoke :) for the effort. This is going to be a very good help to new players

Even if I am :

Frenchy
Stupid
Retard
Idiot
Silly
Weird
Strange
Bad english
etc
etc

I did help more people then those videos will do.

Everyone can jsut make a video or write a guide. But I challenge you to start a group with 4 new commer guildless, who want to play, and carry them to mq. This is how you help new commer. Even if they know what to buy, know how to level, know how to well, what they need isnt video, but the support of a veteran.

Actually Alex, that is how you 'ruin' a newcomer. Instead of gaining a badge of honor for battling through their first MQ, they now have the comfort feeling being carried to MQ and will come to expect it. The next time they climb they will be disheartened with anything less than someone carrying them because of their subpar gear.
There is more than 1 way to look at this. I try to help make ppl self-sufficient and not reliant on others. I believe they'll stick around better this way.

This is a multiplayer game not a solo game. The arena is gone and everyone know soloing is pain in a**. I dont just carry them, i tell them what to buy, what to keep not keep show them the basics. It,s already hard to find a group nowaday, it's harder for a guildless/new commer. I jsut went in your guildy game or any other *GG* player and they barely kick the new commer 30 seconds after he comes. Sometime, I say sometime, they say full, the new don't leave because he doesnt know what full mean. So they kick. Welcome to ls! That gg game Nick show you!
