imo the game has a better balance in this patch than ever before.
why change it when its already working perfectly?

No. Stupid. Vitality is life based. If your going to have a ratio, a new stat can be added that will make the most sense for the needed change on casting.

Most RPG games have Mind, Spirit, Intelligence etc. This would make the most sense. You could then have it to where one stat impacts how much damage your charms do, while the other impacts the defense your armors give you versus magical attacks in addition to basing how effective your charms are via casting (ratio's). I see no point in having super vitality mages/casters with lower mana pools (when casting with a mage or other class is already low on mana compared to warlock or alchemist). This is just my opinion however. If your going to have a change like this, we might as well have Eldritch Caster Charms too (heavy based charms).

I would't be surprised if there already is a change planned for casting in the upcoming expansions.

Passive skills in which vitality and Int increase their effectiveness is the first thing that comes to my mind that could be of great use to them and not be overpowered.

Hope that gear value changes. Only sensible reason this would be a wanted change for the stat mentioned in the topic.

It's simple speculation; nothing is set in stone.
Some people feel casting is overpowered, and needs a balance, which is where some feel vitality should come in play.
Others think Casting should be left alone and vitality boosted.

If absolutly nothing happened with Vitality, and it stayed the same, I would have no problem with that at all. Leave it the way it is, I don't mind it.
Now... If something did happen to Vitality, there is where my suggestion came in, and why I ended up deciding to post it. It's more of I rather that happen than this IF a change happened. I also just wanted feedback on an idea, and I got it.
