I have had some very drunken thoughts about this idea... and previously I had some sober thoughts.

It has come to my attention the +X amount of Intelligence no longer gives you any Magical Defense.
That is correct... in 1.21 there is NO magical defense using + Intelligence items... so then what is wrong here????????

Here is a tidbit from that link:
Intelligence: Increases the base effect for charms. For every 25 stat points you have in intelligence, you gain +1 Mana Regen. Every Level Up you will gain an amount of mana equal to your base intelligence.

Now... from what has been stated above... I think that either Vitality or Intelligence needs a bit of a rebuff...

Now... I do believe strongly that Vitality mods on an item or multiple items should (KEY WORD.... should) have something more ... like you have stated... and I will concur that it should have an increase of 50% added life.

There you have it... I will concede that Vitality needs an upgrade when it comes to the mods of an item... but... only 50% as anything else would be overpowered.

Note: I am intoxicated in my conclusion of this little bit of information... buy me some more bourbon and I will go with 100%

Int still gives magic defense.

70 vit at 55 = 3920 life. 50% of this is 1960. Thats waaaay more than the 1400 max for +life mod. Plus you'd get a shitload of defense boost on anything but a robe.

would be overpowered .. yet, just quick to mind comes these 2 items that we have in the guild:

Mythical tintitanium dagger
Level Req: 50
Damage: 219 to 383

+138% Enhanced Effect
+7 Strength
+53 Vitality
+2% Mana Syphon
+1% Power Shot

Mythical focused heal VII
Level Req: 20
Heals: 40 to 48
Mana Cost: 53

+22 Vitality
+311 Max Life
+1% Life Steal
+4% Mana Syphon
+28% Heal Mastery

that would be alot of life for each of there lvl req's .. cant imagine how many other simular items are out there like these :)

E: should int also give mana the same way then ?

voted yes, but i think it wont be implemented. And we are collecting Vita items, just for that case ;)

1 life * ( lvl +1 )

10 life per vitality on items would be kind of cool and not that overpowered imo. Same thing for mana also.

inb4 nick wants this because of his 70int/57vitality charm.

I was talking about Intelligence... guess your calculations are only supporting Vitality.
Guess intelligence is a hell of a lot lacking in that calculas

EDIT; where the fuck did I go wrong... I stated INTELLIGENCE and the MAGICAL DEFENSE is use to offer... omfg I did not comprehend that people will dispute the Vitality +life per point vs the the defense that it holds
over physical damage... Intelligence use to be a defense stat versus MAGICAL attacks.... omfg... where did I go wrong????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If you wish it was implemented, then you should have voted NO or some %'s option :P

My answer for that question I should have thought about earlier is: YES, int should work the same way, so even if it's 10 life per vita like Lance says, then same should be for int. I thought also about giving it 20 life per vita, so that would be like 70 vita = 1400 life and that would be capped, so no matter what lvl you are, it would be max 1400 life. Overpowered? Hmm, not really, there aren't that many items with vita and max life in one.
