Welcome to LS.

There are a lot more players on now, and I have my own personal hunch about the multi-attack on just about every class combined with more people that is adding to the delay. Just wait until your whole group crashes, that's when it gets real interesting.

I am getting it as well, and I have tried every trick in the book and even contacted my ISP, all to no avail. Tried 4 different browsers, 3 different internet connections as well as multiple PCs/Laptops, restarts, cache clears, registry scans, virus scans, defrags, etc etc etc. For a while I just assumed it was me, but then more and more people started to talk about this dreaded "lag/delay" and it all made more sense to me. Lately whole groups have been disconnecting (without any ASE errors I might add) and the disconnect is usually right after a massive lag spike. Call it what you want to call it.

My advice: try playing when less people are on LS. I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but I have no other good suggestions.

Then again I could be 100% wrong.

this is something thats just started happening for me. I've had minor lag spikes before but nothing like it is now. It would usually catch up too. Now i just get straight lag as soon as i hit cata and start attacking.
I don't thhink it it related to amount of people online it sounds more like a flash issue. i will keep trying diffrent stuff

It could very well be. Uninstall your web browser, run a cleaning utility such as CCleaner (free and highly recommended) and then re-install your browser and then update Flash.

It could help, but I have done all that and I still get it, and have just learned to "deal with it" as bad as that sounds.

The odd part is I have tried it on a few different connections in a pretty wide area (100+miles from my normal home connection) and have had the same result, leads me to believe it is either a problem with my state (could very well be, I live in the sticks, but I am on a 15MBIT cable connection and can play other games just peachy) or excess server load (probably not)

It shouldn't have to be dealt with if anything i think a developer i.e. Paul or someone close should atleast comment and say yea its your end or try this. Instead of just leaving us guessing.  Thats my 2 cents.

He has not said anything about it recently, I had a post a week or so ago about the same thing and it basically had no good outcome. I stopped pulling my hair out and just played through the lag. Only had two deaths due to it so far, which is another reason I refuse to play HC. :(

Please keep in mind I am not trying to be negative, only trying to get people to realize that there is an issue somewhere and it would be awesome if it got looked at because I have exhausted my own personal resources.

Just out of curiosity, where are you located? I am in the Northeast USA. I know people from the West Coast also are experiencing issues, as well as some canadians.

Edit:

Tried a completely different computer on the same network still exact same lag that i am receiving here. on this machine. It may be a network issue still trying a couple other things before i come to that conclusion.

Issue is fixed, problem is my network, I switched to wireless which is routed differently than my wired network and it runs smooth as day. Jihromeo i'd suggest you either look at your network or talk to whoever runs your network and try to see if they can't fix it.

Been there, done that. If you read all of the above, you will notice that I have lag on multiple networks and multiple PC's. No good way of diagnosing that. Maybe my account is bugged? :bonk:
