Sorry Nick, but this is the most epic failure of a cry thread I've ever seen.

You made a contest. You posted rules for the contest. Somebody made an entry that did not fall within the rules. You made the choice to accept the entry. Sorry, but all fault lies on your end. People can be greedy bastards. It's up to you not to let him.

Afterall, let's face it... The entire point of the contest was to get UA gear, right? "We have unlimited resources, and are willing to pay you to tell us what to spend them on." So why even accept an entry that didn't tell you where to spend your FG? Seems a tad counter productive.

For now, I'm going to assume this entire topic is some kind of joke, yes?

Wow..that's pretty low. As for the two quotes above, I think you two need to look up the word "scam". By difintion what he did was a scam. Granted Nick should have check better, but he is human as we all are.

When you "beat" someone by lying to them in order to win something...how are you not scamming?
Not denying the fact that Nick should have verified the item's existence first, but what a_hotter_otter did was without a doubt dishonest.
I'd actually be upset if it were more of a real contest though instead of one made to find UA gear.

Go back and look at the clearly written rules to the contest. Tell me, did it or did it not clearly state that the item must be linked to? Hell, a mediator could have checked the item and kept confidentiality.

It's even entirely possible that Erich simply posted it as a joke, and got paid for his bad humor.

Afterall, how hard is it to see axe damage on a staff?

Oh, I'm not saying what he did was right, but to go and put it under scammer accusation when the site does not support contests?

I stand by my argument, it's your fault Stok3d for not having check the legitimacy of the item.
Sure he is to blame for falsely suggesting an item, but it's your fault to have let it happen.

I am coming clean now before NicK reports me. In the third grade I stole the milk money. I am truly sorry and whew, I feel like such a better person now.
