you post more anti-criticism than anyone else on these forums yet contribute nothing useful in said posts.
totally confused as to how you think your "experience" is better than anyone else's.
it's truly easy to think everything is hunky dory when your 22 mq's and single digit proficiencies (which speak for themselves) show that you don't really even know how great this game used to be.
She does, however, make a valid point.

I used to play some LS back in the day and thought it was really fun. I wanted to start playing again (tonight) but I noticed a lot of new changes.
My friendly rant/rave is that I think njaguar is trying to put too much into this game, I liked it MUCH better when it was just a simple game - no fishing, no cooking, no groups, only a few different attributes (now there's like 20), no charms, no "objects", etc...I could go on and on. It seems like he's trying to make it a lot like d2 or WoW or something...It's a flash game so it SHOULD be simple, not complex. With all these different attributes and stuff, it's starting to become more complex than d2, which only has 4 attributes haha. And d2 is an actual game, not a flash game.
I may or may not still play, but I definitely miss when the game was a lot simpler, it was also easier to jump in as a noob and start playing back then too.
Anyway, food for thought, friendly rant/rave. I'm sure my thoughts/ideas will get blasted with negativity, but that's okay.
Thanks
First: Hi!

As has been pointed out, your experience in the game as it is now is somewhat... Limited. However, new perspectives are not always bad, so I'll not add to the negative responses to your post. However, I have bolded a few points you made which should be addressed.
First, there are only 4 attributes, and have always been only 4 attributes. They're called stats, and are Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Vitality. This is the same as D2, to the best of my recollection, though it has been several years since I played, so please feel free to correct me if my memory is wrong. There are "sidemods" if you will that also effect you, such as mana syphon, heal mastery, +life, and the like. While there are certainly more than there were during season 1 and 2, I do not see how this is a bad thing, as each additional ability to defend, attack, or survive longer is of benefit. And, again, to the best of my recollection, there are
fewer than in Diablo 2. Further, there were
always charms. Heal charms, wind, and earth charms are new as of... um... Season 7? I can't honestly remember, been a long time. However, charms in general have always been a part of this game.
Second, the fact that this is a free flash game does not mean it should suck. Paul constantly strives to improve his game, adding, removing, changing, and updating it to bring it closer to what his vision of his game should be. The fact that it is flash does not mean it should be another Mafia Wars, or Castle Age, or any other such "cookie cutter" rpg. This game is unique. Further, it
is quite simple, to be frank, though it has become more in-depth by far than I would have imagined in season 2 when I started playing. Please reconsider your estimation that this is becoming like D2 or WoW though. I see more resemblance to one of the old DOS AD&D games, or perhaps even Zork, taken to a modern level, than anything like D2 or WoW. Any resemblance that you point out? Honestly, I'd say you're just mistaking a true (if simple) fantasy RPG for others simply because those too are fantasy RPGs. Don't let the genre of game fool you. This is very different.
Overall though, this is yet another in a long line of negative topics that benefit the community not at all. In spite of all claims of "friendliness" this is not a friendly topic. However, for all that, I hope you will give the game an honest chance. Forget about what you think you remember from "the good old days" and take the game as it is now. If you do not enjoy? Quit and move on to something more satisfying to you. If you do enjoy? Spend merely what time you can freely dedicate without negatively impacting the rest of your life, and join us in this game, for new players are an exciting event, and there are many who would wish you great success.
