for example there is a mentoring guide up i responded yeah i got help although the item was much appreciated that was it from it i agree with personal attention but honestly i dont think that is probably for example i just started and i play quite a lot and generally they arent there so i think the biggest improvement or step that can be taken is hopefully stickie something that is purely basic for starters and link it to the irc the irc being the biggest thing most successful games have moderators and people to help invite/help new players like an interactive tutorial

Imo LS real problem is that it is close to impossbile to start up this game without a) Having fg from another game or poker or b.) Buy a bunch of gear for dollars.

Updated and more acessable guides so people actually read them is ofc good but won't solve the above mentioned issue.

Anyone good with Adobe Premiere or video editting? My wife is, but she only does my children's videos. It would be SUPER nice if someone made some of the completed threads into youtube videos. That would make another nice collection. I'm sure the GAME BASICS link could easily made into a video tutorial and someone may be more inclined to listen to the whole thing instead of simply reading it.

However, truly interactive could only come from a Big Brother Implementation if it were to ever come to light...

well with any game starting out is like that like for example i know i wont be as good as or ever be as good as some of the people with ridiculously god gear but who knows i may be lucky to find something honestly i started this on 30fg suprised i even got that much heh, and slowly building my way it just sucks that a lot of people although they seem like they care they think fg is just a problem and they give it thinking it would make you good... I mean dont get me wrong i am thankful for it but it will only get me so far when it takes me forever to level and items costs 100 or 1000 i think if there were more interaction and a friendlier environment it would go a long way.. these chat boards for example i made a post on catacomb and it was like 45-1hour with no post not even on my topic but overall in those threads...

i think the first step and most important step would be an actual chat or irc with moderators that can help guide or so called big brothers one of the downfalls of having one big brother or whatnot is that the amount of time they are on may be different whereas if you have a group whether big or small in a chat it implements the big brother program and does a lot more to due to as a group more answers and information can be exhanged

I've long thought that the official sticky is a waste of space. 90% of the builds are pretty much "get life steal add dex!"

it needs a major revamp

As a somewhat noobie I had to start by reading the guides of course, but to even look at the guides I had to first talk to people and find out why you should do something or what this thing means.
There is a very limited... dictionary when it comes to LS making it very hard to understand some of the complicated junk.

Only suggestion would be to get some newer people together and ask them where they had problems and try to address some of the most basic in a thread which could link to others. I say could because at first I felt overwhelmed by all of the information and had to ask multiple people for opinions on builds.

Because as it is it is very hard for a newer player to get the information they need to get started.
took me about a day to get a grasp of the game, and that is about 12 hours of doing nothing but reading guides and trying to talk to people about questions.
