maybe he just didnt know what he was doing? i had a few new guys in my runs who accidently switched to acc slot (which was empty), and attacked without getting actions.
but if you asked the guy if he was there and he didnt respond for 15min and did nothing i'd say its legitimate to let him die on softcore. there are too many ppl who come over from d2 and think its like diablo botruns where you enter tp and idle...

/e: and its not like that guy had huge amounts of irreplaceable proficiencies he could loose anyway.... if it was someone with a good amount of prof i wouldnt let him die ofc

You guys that say to kill him need to lighten up. Not everything is always as it seems. Instead of looking at what the possibilities of what he ISN'T doing, try thinking about what the possibilities of what he IS doing. Just because afk doesn't ALWAYS mean lazy, he could've had a minor emergency and had to get up and afk, you have no idea and would feel terrible (hopefully) if that was the case.

Let them do it, take time to be kind, they will get a reputation of doing that and won't be welcome in any game after a while.

NEVER would I purposely let someone die. SC, I suppose it doesn't really matter. I play HC and would never do that to someone, regardless of what they're equipped with. That's terrible and for those of you that are saying kill him should be ashamed of yourselves.

Kick him, not kill him.

Any parent who plays this game can tell you, sometimes you get pulled away.

Keep playing, but don't go out of your way to kill him. If it's 5 minutes, i'd keep him alive. 10 minutes and i'd let nature take it's course.

Actually ran into quite a few guys that would intentionally afk every group, those people I'd go out of my way to get killed.

I agree with james, its never cool to purposely kill someone. I would be upset if i lost prof =( because of someones cold-heartedness.
In the moral dilemma you were in IMO you chose the wrong rout.


Now thats just me, but not saying you cant do that... or you are any less of a human then i am, There are people who TPPK in d2 HC, so more power to ya if thats your gig.

3. /kick james84 if necessary
4. Let the kid die.

Why isnt remake an option??!??!

i woulda kicked him after about 3 minutes, or carried him if there was absolutely no-one else one. full game = better than 4 for casting, and he'll still be absorbing a few hits of damage.
