concerning the post about guilds being the dregs of society for buying gp's:
In life the greatest of all empires are build off this concept, businesses, cities, countries, governments, army's, everything.
Miami was built from nearly 100% illegitimate money, it is now one of the greatest cities. Drug lords had literally billions in cash. If you didnt know, any deposite at a bank over 10,000 needs to be explained to the IRS or you get investigated. So a drug lord with 50 million in cash needed some way to spend it without going through a bank. Well they built skyscrapers. they then rented these out and the earnings from their rental space can be justified and bank rolled.
The American military force has over 100,000 non military, navy, army, air force contractors in Iraq. They are not legitimate "soldiers" but mercenaries rather. does that mean the us military is partially "fake"?
I worked with the guy that in the 70's owned the third largest accounts receivable buisness in the eastern united states. When he got started he was denied the opportunity to work for a very large hospital cause he didnt have enough staff.
He went and bought 60 broken telephones, payed 60 random people to come into his office for 2 hours one day and act like they were employees working. He then brought the hospital executives on a tour of his "fake" office. He got them to sign a contract and then did the job with a staff of 10, when the hospital was under the impression that his staff was 70+. Does this make his business not real?
I agree with what Przy says, he nailed it. d2jsp is a business. guild owners are the "buisness" owners of jsp. they are essentially doing the same thing my friend did. using "fake employees" to get a foot in the door to becoming a great guild. as he stated, many of the great guilds today got their starts by buying points.
Bringing Real economics into this is kinda pointless is it not it can be the same basic principle but hey people kill others for money....... We are talking about pixels.... Hm maybe i should offer couple thosand fg for some one to go off some one of my choosing... Guilds like Jokerstars Payed for mass gps Where is jokerstars now??????????? Dead Gone

A lot of people have to start somewhere. As example, before HOD (hands of divinity was deleted) Jesse (former owner) paid 100 fg per guild point. I earned enough fg, then moved on to Anima Templi where we converted to a "serious ls guild" that was spawned from HOD when Paul deleted the entire guild. While in Anima Templi, I made 138 guild points, all from a start of earning 600 fg paid from GP's and the 75 fg I started to begin with. Then I made my own guild where I currently have 209 gp's and retired with 300 total mq's...
Hundreds of users have similar stories.
I knew some people from HoD before i moved to LS
My point is a person shouldn't just want to join a guild based on the fact they pay for gps...... Empire never payed for my Gps I was fortunate enough to start playing Ls Before the new Muting Prof.....
