Ok... done.

He sais "Timed out request" or somethin like that (dunno if it's english-correct, i got XP in italian version)...

So, it's a firewall / router lockout?

Ok, "Timed Out Request" means one of two things.

1. There is a block between your PC and Paul's servers, whether it is firewalls or port conflict is yet to be determined.

2. It took far too long for the information to travel, and it has gone over the limit and a "time out" has occurred (usually this is 1000ms, but not always)

Either way, there is a problem. I assume you are on high speed internet and not dial-up? My pings are around 32ms, but I am in the USA, not too far from the servers. Check to see if your Firewalls are on (windows firewall in control panel, and any 3rd party firewalls such as Zone Alarm, Norton, etc)

ALSO: If you can find the name of your Modem/Router, I may be able to help diagnose it to see if it has an internal firewall. Most do these days, and it can sometimes cause problems if you are using the Windows Firewall AND the Router's built in Firewall (they can conflict with eachother)

I also want to stress the point that when you login, you ONLY type your account name.

example of mine:

login: jlhromeo
password: xxxxxx
gold password: xxxxxxxxxx

make sure if you do NOT have a gold password, you dont put anything in that box of course. trying to rule out all obvious issues...

ALSO#2: what Browser and version are you using? (Firefox/IE, and WHAT version?)

So... i'll try to investigate about my modem, because i'm in Italy on high-speed connections... and also pings with other games on US servers were fine. Maybe i got some port locked or something like that.

After that, i'm gonna put a .357magnum bullet through the modem, and see if that's gonna work, as my last try before headbutting the monitor till death.

I'll let you know, thanks a lot for the whole bunch of infos ;)

EDIT: Firefox 3.6.

LoL you are welcome... have you ever ran LS before from that connection, or is this the first time trying?

I am not sure but I believe LS needs a certain port to be open, but I can not remember what that is. Someone here should know, or you could PM paul but he is a busy man.

If the port is closed, you will need to manually open it, you can visit www.portforward.com for info on how to do this, they also list it by Router model to make it easy to do.

Good luck, I will check back here later to see how you are doing.

P.S. the .357 mag idea is sweet, make sure you video that and upload it after for us all to see.
