Not meaning to be rude, but your thread is more of a common sense thing.

Of course a 1/6 chance to get +6 is much better than a 1/24 chance to get +10 .. and so on...

;)

** It's why many people will stop at Monk and re-start at feeders..

Just wondering what equation you used.

well, it's quite simple....

chance to pass = 1:(number of doors)!
meaning chance to pass pala = 1:1x2x3 = 1:6
with the given odds of 1/6, add 5 failed MQ's to the passing reward of 6 GP's and you get 11 GP's

11 GP's to 6 attempts = 1.83333 GP's per attempt

I know mate, that is kind of why I made it wanted to correct the misconceptions about it :p

Expected Value of an item is the sum of all its possible values and their probabilities. So in the case of a leecher class for example it is :
0 * 0 (Cant get zero points in other words) + 1 * (5/6) + 2 * (1/6)
For something like warlock it is
0 * 0 + 25 * (1/120) + 1 * (119/120)

So I was just curious as to what class actually has the best GP output. I know one would rush to say that it is alchemist but surprisingly it is not...Below are the expected GP values for every class. By expected I do not mean when you take a MQ you will recieve exactly that amount, but rather if you were to do infinitely many MQs with that class, the average value would be the value listed below. We all ofc know some people get lucky every season and some get unlucky but I just found it interesting which classes came out on top when you look at it from an analytical perspective.

#1 GP Class
Paladin
GP's Per MQ : 1.833333.....

#2 GP Class
Samurai
GP's Per MQ : 1.666666.....

#3 GP Class
Ninja
GP's Per MQ : 1.458333.....

#4 GP Class
Monk
GP's Per MQ : 1.375000

#5 GP Class
Headhunter
GP's Per MQ : 1.241666...

#6 GP Class
Warlock
GP's Per MQ : 1.200000

#7 GP Class(es)
Fighter/Barb/Guard/Rogue/Mage
GP's Per MQ : 1.166666.....

#8 GP Class
Alchemist
GP's Per MQ : 1.137500

So in fact you would be better off farming GP's on a leecher class rather than trying to farm GP's on alchemist...especially considering the slower exp for higher tier classes. In other words, Dion will not be contributing much to KoH GP's :p

Great work I was for long wondering what the statistics says

Thank You very much

Regards

Waldemar
