closing out of the window does not disconnect you from the server.
always slash with another window up with your password already in to log in to save you from dying.

You make it seem like having a separate login screen ready and waiting is some sort of burden ...

It sucks, but it is the nature of the beast. My boy safmy has ripped well over 150k in gear on hc. You have to be careful and take every precaution if you want to play.

This is how I used to feel as well.

For me, I reached the point where I can't bear to play SC because it's just too easy and boring.  On HC you don't have groups to fly to MQ whenever you want, gear to solo to MQ whenever you want, and you stand to face loss which makes it more interesting.  Not to mention I have no time to try to play for a reset or any truly serious progress, so I play HC for the fun and double GPs.


Yeah -- i definitely understand, and i would love to play HC, i know i could get the gear to solo easily and it would be great.

But the fact is, even on SC i've died from 80% just cause of a server glitch, and died, with no way of stopping it.

and it's not the players fault, its just a random occurence and it would piss me off.

I can't see how you can play softcore and enjoy it.

I play hardcore because I like the fact I can die at anytime.

not attempting to argue but when the d2 season starts log into the hc forums like once a day. guarantee you see plenty of people randomly posting wah wah wah i ripped plz donate wah wah wah. its bad.

but correct they usually dont die from a glitch (cept for the fire enchanted bug monsters in nm+ had)
