Although I can see the logic behind the suggestion, the location as shown would hide the 3rd row of monsters.

Having the box at the bottom of your fighting screen is the best location -- you don't need anything else open in cata's anyway

I know on my screen there is enough room for this to be put vertical, without covering the third row totally.
As it is right now, I cover the entire middle row and click their heads or feet.

I had this thought a few times, I'm glad someone suggested it.

Some people's screens are already full, so it would have to be an adjustable option.

yes i never get any items when its at the bottom -.-

I always miss drops when on the bottom of the screen so i put it over the middle row of monsters anyway. People camp that item box on ep's shamelessly.
And when there are a whole boat load of drops you have to scroll down to see them all. It should be bigger, so the driver doesn't run them over before I scroll down.

That is a huge matter of opinion. For someone such as yourself who is not concerned with drops, sure, throw it down there. But for me, who is a drop whore, having it in the middle of the screen is the best and fastest spot to grab and still keep my actions high. This means covering half the middle row monsters, but it's manageable.
