LS Bingo round 2. It's been too long and was probably one of the more fair competitions we had here to be honest. Make it harder this time though

Agree. The Bingo competition was really fair as big and small guilds, group, and solo players were all able to compete.

I'm also 100% not biased just because Solo Player scored the first bingo :P

I was actually intending something slightly different this christmas.
the prof hunt is good and all but it rewards a certain way of playing. I'd like to reward many ways of playing, as it was very difficult for solo players to keep up with the group players for prof hunting.

In short i was looking into making objectives, similar to a bingo card.
Categories as follows:
Big damage
Click spam
Prof hunter (i mean i might as well right? )
Big item finding
Take up a new skill
Level me up daddy (I don't know what this is but it sounds fun)
Think i'm missing one or two others, you get the idea.

I am thinking each of those will have 5 different levels to achieve and obviously an overall winner of who did it the best.
So lets suggest you are a solo player, you have 2 choices for some of these 1: ignore them and focus on getting the ones you can get, 2: Mix up your playstyle and try a few group games.
the prof hunt/who can mq the most/guild points all favour some specific players. the guild point one in particular would be heavily favouring groups of players who can do MMs.

For proof for some of these i'd need a screenshot/recording, which is the main turn off. Proving an item was found rather than muted is exceedingly difficult. There will certainly be some shenanigans, as there's an obvious way to do enormous amounts of damage with a single crit.

Given it's only 1.5 months away talking about it now might be an idea. (as usual i would intend to start things Dec 1st and end 24th Dec)
I'd rather it wasnt called punch and pie seeing the Christmas one has generally been something i've ran (well i've ran it two times, it still counts :P )

I think there are some really cool ideas here can you make the whole bingo card?

Great idea you should keep that one for Christmas
More than enough time for 2 events :) let me know if I can help

i'm gonna be honest here, i'm not really sure there is enough time to fit 2x in before christmas. Also the playerbase generally have breaks quite consistently so churning event into event is likely to lead to lower player counts.

Doing it in 6 months time is also not really an issue for me.

In terms of this one, You also havent even had signups yet, which generally helps to do before you launch it, give some people time to work their time around. Then also need to consider how long it runs for.
Looks like people are in favour of the raffle though. I'd agree with the poll about avoiding guild points as an event, as i mentioned guild able to do MM's can get very far ahead. Whilst MQ's to some extent are a bit more fair, although again better gear wins out, but motivation can overpower this advantage with the right groups.
If you decide to do skilling as well, the one recommendation i have is remove suffusensing from the pool of usable skills. Those willing to pay for it can gain around 6 prof per second by starting then immediately cancelling the skill. This was actually used during the last prof hunt, although fishing surprisingly seemed to be the biggest skill increase.

Currently it looks like ~12 votes for MQ event, ~8 votes for skilling/prof event, ~4 for guild points and 4 or so for doing the bingo card.

I'm personally hesitant about rewarding item properties as those who have access to essences obviously have a significant advantage. Not entirely sure if you wanted to reward rerolling?
The mirror maze is kind of redundant as it gives between 1-3 tickets worth of GPs as well as the 101 goal and the MQ goal. Not sure it needs even more tickets thrown at them.

Just some food for thought, not saying it's not a good idea doing it like that, but need to be somewhat careful on what you reward.

So my personal thought is that people rolling essences are also playing Ladder Slasher, even if they are not fighting monsters or skilling up proficiencies. It's just our prejudice against them because we think they aren't "playing" and are just "buying/spending," that stops us from validating their playstyle :P So I did intend to reward rerolling, and also figure there's no point trying to get people to prove an item dropped, so just keep the item and the ID and in that way you can even buy/sell those items giving extra items additional value. Likewise, I thought that people doing mirror mazes should still be rewarded beyond GP values. I don't think it's too much extra but these are just my thoughts and I'm happy to see you guys amend them as you see fit.

i vote against tickets for maze since it never happens on our side of the fence, like big said, you're already getting tix for 101 / mq / gps from doing it.

i enjoyed the skilling comp last year personally.

The thing is it also rewards hoarding essences for this sort of thing and also encourages essence use when the event isn't good which leads to potentially worse items

Make it a new to ladder slasher random ticket mq event?

Rather see an event that might draw more people to the game

Voted random ticket mq anyways
