Just putting this out there again:



How about some support to Xmas Competitions, whether it be something like more +X Monster Difficulty / Prof / Quality etc event during or if a donation of FG by way of first to climax to achieve the reward.

I don't know... but we are a small community of somewhat loyal gamers for at least a decade or more... Just a question if you want to assist, even if it is just an Xmas thing or a New Year thing with Events?

Im sure hell do something. Not sure we're gonna be playing ls on xmas but u never know.

I play LS more than I play any other games... well... I like playing chess to pass the time as well as Solitaire since my PC only has 1gb of RAM and people have been trying to help me evolve into a better gamer etc... but, I can not address the funds, even though I have a 4gb PC (Dell I believe that crashed out because I installed Vista but it did not have a Wireless connection to activate my CD code) and the 8gb Laptop with Win 7 Office that I was backdating at the time Win7 chose to stop functioning or updating... wtf is up with Murphy and trying to shaft me from behind???

That is the basics of the story.. my 2015 PC with 1gb of Ram and running Win 7 Home and win7 Google Chrome is still amazing in 2023 ... and only 1gb.

I think some of the young ones need some spanking and learn their place. mao that is a joke of course.

No promises at this stage, in general each update takes me over an hour
I'm hoping to automate taking data from the website, this would save me about an hour per update.

Most of the rest of it is just extending formula I can probably automate gathering the leaderboards as well, but this is only a 5-10 minute job, main bit is pulling all the data from the site.
Seeing this was the first update it was likely to be the worst one as due to the way i'm gathering data i do not have a consistent formula to combine each players totals. If i was to do this again i'd gather the data in a slightly different way to get a consistent formula which i understand.
As it is each character added will need a specific formula changed for them, this is only about 30 seconds to a minute per character but i'm already tracking 127 characters so doing a formula for each was good hour or so. Should be a copy and paste for those already done so next update this should be down to 5 mins of adding new peeps and 5 mins of making sure nothing went horrible wrong

Did google some formulas which were doing what i wanted but i didn't understand them enough to then change them to apply here.



This method is still better than last time where i literally went to everyones character page and inserted the new data in manually.

The sheet we're currently working on will tell you how much prof is gained by each player at any point you go to the sheet, so if copy and pasted and then reordered by max prof can get your own update as and when you want it.

Been on late shift this week and just not done a lot myself other than make sure any new characters are tracked.
